STEP Scholarships
Skilled Trades Empowerment Program awards scholarships throughout the school year (September - June) to high school students who live in New Jersey and are looking to pursue a post-secondary education in the skilled trades. Scholarships recipients will be awarded between $500 - $2,000 that can be applied towards their future educational training in their chosen trade.

Students interested in applying for a STEP Scholarship must currently live in the State of New Jersey

Submit an essay or video that introduces yourself, explains why you are applying for the scholarship, highlights your goals, aspirations, and how the scholarship aligns with your interest in pursuing a career in the skilled trades.

The Skilled Trades Empowerment Program awards scholarships monthly throughout the academic school year. Our scholarships are open to graduating high school students who live and attend school in New Jersey and are looking to pursue a post-secondary education in the skilled trades. Chosen scholarship recipients will be awarded $500-$2,000 to help offset tuition, equipment purchases for apprenticeship or other education related needs required to begin a career in the skilled trades.
Scholarships are awarded monthly
on a rolling basis, so apply today!
